A few years ago, I had a wonderful job. But I lost it unexpectedly. The scholarship helped me tremendously. It let me keep my son at a private school called Calvary Chapel High School.
Calvary Chapel is a wonderful school. The school has really helped my son flourish and learn. If it was not for the scholarship, I would not have been able to send my son there.
My son’s grades and demeanor have improved. He is a leader at the school. He has wonderful friends. This education has changed him and is helping him grow to become a wonderful man.
Choice is important because not every public school is good enough for every child. Every child learns differently. My son has been able to learn much better in the small, private setting his current school provides.
I urge lawmakers to keep scholarships for students. It will help the future children of our state give back to our wonderful country.
