Using an ESA for homeschooling has helped my daughter tremendously. Home school curriculum can be very expensive and our Education Savings Account helps cover costs. My daughter is on the autism spectrum, is a “flight risk” and it gives us peace of mind knowing she is safe in our home. She can learn from my wife and not be pressured. I feel school, in general, can be pressuring and stressful on children with what is expected of them nowadays, and homeschooling helps ease that.

Regardless of a family is single or multi-income, a parent knows their child best. It should always be a parent’s choice to choose their child’s school and education based on their learning abilities. Not all children learn as quickly or easily as others and I feel that can even cause children to fall behind in some instances if they get discouraged. Also, some schools may have a “belief” on what should be taught that a parent may not agree with.
