We first attended FCA during my son’s preschool year. We were so excited to continue his education in Kindergarten, however, the cost was holding us back. How can I pull my son from a school my husband and I researched and discussed months before enrollment and a school that our family has come to love so dearly? I attended every tax credit meeting, talked to our school accountant more times than I can count, and I was still unsure about the possibility of staying at FCA. In all honestly, we just couldn’t afford it on our own. We feel so grateful to have learned about and received such generous scholarships that helped cover the cost of more than half of tuition!
“All families, regardless of income, should be able to choose the right school for their children.”
All families, regardless of income, should be able to choose the right school for their children. Who knows our children better than us parents? Who knows my child’s needs better than I do? A parent’s love and desire for their child to succeed doesn’t come only when it’s affordable. As a low-income parent, I feel so grateful for the options available to our family that make school choice an option. Our children are the future and it’s important we let them grow in the environment best fit for them.
