As parents of four children, we are passionate about wanting our children to get an education with a Christian worldview. At the same time, we thought that the tuition at private Christian schools would render that dream impossible. For the past five years, we have been able to choose Christian education for our family only because of the tax credit scholarship we have received to put towards tuition. Our kids love learning about the Bible and growing in their faith. They can be surrounded by like-minded students while also learning how to respect and love people from other worldviews.

I believe that every parent is the expert on their personal family’s needs and therefore every parent should be able to have a choice in how their child is educated. Since families cannot designate their tax dollars toward their own child’s education, families in Arizona struggle to get tax credit donations for their children. I would love to see the state create more equal opportunities for every parent to get the kind of support they need to choose a school.
