PROGRAM — School Tuition Organization

Joseph is a sophomore this year, and has been at WCA since preschool. He is the student council treasurer, plays in the school worship band, is active in sports and clubs, and volunteers in various capacities around town. He’s looking towards applying to a military academy for college and beyond.

At first, Joe attended WCA because his big brother did. We love the small classrooms and individualized attention at WCA, but we also love the emphasis on God and learning to actually think, not just parrot. More specifically for Joe, he had the challenge of dealing with some behavioral issues when he was younger. Counseling helped, and some unconventional methods to help in class – and his teachers stepped up and helped him through all of that. In a larger setting, he might have slipped through the cracks or been written off. At WCA, they encouraged and supported him as he worked through and overcame his struggles.

We are also grateful for a school that supports our values: God, country, family. WCA stresses the importance of all of these, not just as individual ideas but as part of their curriculum and activities. In a culture that focuses little on these areas anymore, we are so glad that our school stresses these.

Though it’s a process, and often an exercise in faith, it has been such a blessing for our family to receive funds every year at WCA. School choice allows us to be able to make the best decision for the education of our boys, in an environment where they thrive and grow as young men and followers of Christ. School Choice has been part of our family for the last 12 years. Our children truly could not attend a private Christian school without the help of student tuition organizations in Arizona.

Because our family has benefitted so much from School choice opportunities through student tuition organizations, I have personally helped many other families through the process over the last several years. Families should be able to make the choice of the best educational opportunity for their children, and tuition shouldn’t be the reason they can’t send a child to the best school for them.

“Families should be able to make the choice of the best educational opportunity for their children, and tuition shouldn’t be the reason they can’t send a child to the best school for them.”

Our sons have been in a small, private Christian school since they were in preschool and now they’re a senior and sophomore in high school. WCA is the kind of place where everyone feels like family, and it has always been the very best choice for our boys. Through the help of student tuition organizations and the tax credit program in Arizona, we have been able to have the consistency of education and a firm foundation for them, at a school with a great history and reputation. We’ve been blessed to have their tuition completely funded almost every year. Without these scholarships, we simply would not be able to attend our school. We are all grateful for the programs available for our family, and for the solid education that will help them throughout their lives.
