I became an educator because I had great experiences with educators throughout my own education that inspired me. I had a fantastic third-grade teacher who not only educated our minds but also pushed us to be better human beings. I hope to be that same example for my students.

I am currently a middle school teacher at Our Lady of Grace Academy.  I really love the diversity our school has. We have students with many different races, ethnicities, and religions. We come together to learn and grow from one and other. We learn that it is our differences which make us unique and we learn to view those differences as strengths and assets.

“Families should be allowed a choice in what school they feel is the best fit for their children.”

Often times families that have a lower income level are living in areas where the public schools are not providing a strong educational foundation. Families should be allowed a choice in what school they feel is the best fit for their children. All children deserve the best education possible and must not be limited by their zip-code. School choice programs provide that opportunity for lower-income families.
