Chayton is vibrant, wears her heart on her sleeve, art-loving, soccer-playing ten-year-old. She’s a daughter, a big sister, a niece, and the heart of our family.
I chose FSCS for my daughter because of the small class sizes. In public school and at a local charter school, Chayton was being bullied beyond belief and the staff was not doing anything to help protect my child. She didn’t feel safe at school as early as kindergarten. I knew when it came to first grade, something had to change. School choice makes it possible for kids like mine to attend private school. Smaller class sizes, more individual attention means a family atmosphere and a very sweet little lady finally feeling safe and protected.

School choice and the scholarships it provides help make private school education a reality for ally kids from any background or circumstances. Without school choice, some kids like my own would be getting lost in the mix of public schools.
I believe more families should have the same privilege I’ve had in exercising school choice. I wish more families knew just how possible school choice makes it for a private education to be a reality. I wish more families knew that they do have a choice when it comes to their child’s education. I want parents to know that while it may initially take some work to get started but the pay off of having your child in the best possible environment for them is worth it.

School choice makes private school a very real possibility for all families no matter their background. School choice means a better education for my kids, and a better foundation for their academic careers.
