PROGRAM — Empowerment Scholarship Account

My daughter is very outspoken, she speaks her mind about everything. She is very smart, but remains stubborn when it comes to doing school work and needs constant attention.

In her class there are six students total, so the teacher is able to give her more one-on-one attention versus going to public school. During the beginning of this pandemic, they closed down her school and went 100% online. With me working full time, going to school full time, and being a single mom to a twelve-year-old and a one-year-old, I believe this is the right choice for us. Plus, I know most of the staff personally and felt like this is a more comfortable choice for us during this pandemic.

My daughter continues to go to school on a regular basis. There is no online learning giving her more one-on-one attention. She comes home most days with available time for other things that she likes to do. Plus, her grades have improved substantially.

I believe more families should have the same privilege I’ve had in exercising school choice. School shouldn’t be hard or difficult. It should be made fun and engaging for our kids. If more kids enjoy school they are more likely to continue school beyond high school. I always think about the future and what choices benefit us today and what will help us in the long run.

“School choice means a chance to have a better life and more opportunities to learn, not just for my kids but for me as well.”

School choice means a chance to have a better life and more opportunities to learn, not just for my kids but for me as well. school choice means being able to give them that opportunity to grow into successful individuals. I hope my children see what choices I made for us and continue down this path of success.
