PROGRAM — Nevada Opportunity Scholarship

My name is Daniel Aguirre and I am fifteen years old. I was born in Las Vegas and my parents are from El Salvador, which I visited once when I was ten years old.

My life has been really hard lately because I tore my rotator cuff about four years ago and, since then, have been dealing with complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS). CRPS is a condition where the limb affected experiences intense pain, burning sensation, stiffness, and discoloration. In my case, my right arm has been affected. I have been struggling with this condition for several years. Recently I have also been diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (JRA) in my right leg.

Mountain View Christian School is an amazing opportunity for me because the school has helped me with pain management. It is important for my family that I attend it because of the great Christian environment that MVCS offers. I also like that MVCS provides a great academic experience.

MVCS has been an amazing opportunity for me because I struggle in math, but this school has helped me to both understand the concept and appreciate the subject. I think that all families, regardless of how much money they make or who they are, should be able to choose the school that is the best for their kid and the best for the child’s education.
