American Federation for Children Statement on Virginia Governor’s Race

Statement from Tommy Schultz, Chief Executive Officer of the American Federation for Children:
“This election presented a clear contrast between two candidates with vastly different views about education freedom. While education has always been an important issue to voters, in this case it became a deciding factor in the race. Tonight, Virginians sided with the candidate who supports empowering parents.
“This election cycle, AFC invested $250,000 to support candidates who are willing to fight for families and for school choice in Virginia. We look forward to working with Governor-elect Youngkin and state lawmakers to deliver greater educational freedom to families in 2022.”
