AFC Celebrates School Choice Tax Credit in the One, Big, Beautiful Bill
The American Federation for Children celebrates the inclusion of a school choice tax credit in the One, Big, Beautiful Bill now en route to the President’s desk to become law.

“History has been made in America as education freedom heads to the President’s desk for the first time. This is a historic moment for America’s families and students.
Families across America can celebrate Independence Day grateful to Speaker Mike Johnson for shepherding the One, Big, Beautiful Bill and educational freedom to the President’s desk and to leaders throughout Congress for taking this once-in-a-generation opportunity to advance school choice.
Soon, every state will have the opportunity to participate in this historic expansion of school choice, and AFC will work to ensure that governors listen to their constituents and bring educational freedom to as many families as possible.
Going forward, we will continue to fight to ensure that this tax credit scholarship mechanism is well-implemented – and expanded as soon as possible. We cannot wait to see President Trump sign school choice into law.”
