AFC Hires Tim Born as Vice President of Development
Dallas, TX – The American Federation for Children is excited to announce it has hired Tim Born to serve as Vice President of Development. Tim brings more than 15 years of experience working closely with major philanthropists and organizational CEOs across higher education, global nonprofit work, and healthcare. He most recently led principal gift fundraising efforts at Cleveland Clinic, where he focused on transformational gifts.
In his new role, Tim will forge new partnerships in support of AFC’s critical work, building and stewarding major donor relationships that fuel our mission to expand educational freedom for families across the country.
Statement from Tommy Schultz, CEO, American Federation for Children:
“We are thrilled to welcome Tim Born to the AFC team. His deep experience cultivating transformational philanthropic partnerships, most recently at one of the nation’s premier healthcare institutions, makes him uniquely equipped to advance our mission at this critical moment for school choice. As a record number of states have expanded school choice and we build toward the launch of the Education Freedom Tax Credit, supporting our work across pillars is critical to continued success. Having a world-class development leader in Tim is essential to ensuring we have the resources to empower as many families as possible.”
