AFC Announces New Hires, Continues to Build World-Class Team Nationwide

Dallas, TX – The American Federation for Children is pleased to announce the additions of several new team members, as we continue to build out our team committed to expanding school choice and educational opportunities nationwide.

“We are thrilled to welcome these talented individuals to AFC as we seek to fulfill our mission of giving all families, especially lower income families, the freedom to choose the best education for their children. We are scaling our capabilities at a critical time for the school choice movement ahead of the launch of the Education Freedom Tax Credit in 2027, and with the backdrop of ever-declining test scores in our K-12 system. Millions of families are depending on an effective team with a relentless focus on implementing these massive school choice policy expansions at the state and federal level, and I’m thrilled to see the world-class talent we continue to attract to our mission.”

Jeff Chambers is a Senior Full-Stack and DevOps Engineer, where he develops and maintains the digital platforms, infrastructure, and technology integrations that support the organization’s mission. With more than a decade of experience in WordPress engineering, web development, and digital platform architecture, Jeff focuses on building scalable, secure, and high-performing systems that strengthen AFC’s digital operations and online engagement.

Emily Elfelt is the Executive Communications Associate for AFC. Prior to joining AFC, she worked in development communications at Cathedral High School in New York City and supported academic and character development programs for middle school students through Metro Achievement Center in Chicago. Her passion for expanding educational opportunities for low-income families informs her work advancing AFC’s mission.

Blake Elliott supports the AFC Scholarship Fund as a Founding Operations Associate, where he is focused on building the operations and infrastructure needed to scale the organization. Prior to joining AFC, he spent over five years in management consulting, working across financial services, energy, and manufacturing sectors with an emphasis on operational excellence and process optimization.

Jennifer Yambrick is the Lifecycle Marketing Manager at AFC, where she develops data-driven email and SMS journeys that strengthen donor engagement and support the organization’s mission to expand educational freedom. She brings more than 14 years of experience in digital marketing, creative strategy, lifecycle marketing, and customer communications, with a background spanning nonprofit, healthcare, and retail organizations.
