PROGRAM — Charter School

English translation below

For my sister, having access to quality education through the Milwaukee Parental School Choice program has been a great advantage. We came to Milwaukee from Mexico, and she didn’t speak English. Because of time, she couldn’t get into a good school and ended up in a public school with a low academic level. She didn’t make any progress and was a little behind in high school. She told me about many things in her school that made her feel uncomfortable and afraid to go. When the time came to look for a new school, we were able to find a charter school. It was well recognized here for its good values and its good academic rigor. My sister has been very successful in this school, and she participates in many activities and has developed in her personal and academic life, especially in sports.

Low-income families must have the flexibility to choose where they want to send their children to receive an education that meets the needs of each student. Especially in cities like Milwaukee, where young people are exposed at a very young age to things that can derail them. This program relieves families of having to worry about how to access paid education.
