My daughter Blue has always struggled with school and traditional public school was not a good fit for her. In the public school system, my daughter was left behind both emotionally and academically. Unfortunately, a lot of children who are struggling get left behind.
We found that in public school there is room for only one learning method, lecturing and memorizing. For some students, they flourish in this type of learning environment. However, that was not the case with my daughter and she needed something more than what her school was offering.
Through the aid of the ESA (Education Savings Account), we had the opportunity to explore her educational options and to choose where she attended school. Blue has been able to get individualized attention and tutoring because of the homeschool group she has been a part of.
For the first time, she has been able to work at her own pace; If she is struggling in one class she can take more time and if she is excelling in another she can do advanced work.

My daughter is in her sophomore year now. She is actually enjoying school, she is learning, and finally is succeeding in school. This is solely possible because we have the freedom to choose an education that fits her needs. Without the ESA we would not have the access and freedom to get the help my daughter needs. The ESA is a blessing and we are extremely grateful to have it.
