My mom obtained a scholarship for me so that I could attend private school. I completed first through twelfth grade at Victory Christian Academy. I did not know when I was younger what a difference it would make in my life. But as I have gotten older, I understand why my mom wanted me in private school
Having smaller classes helped me learn more efficiently, and ultimately get a better education. The smaller classroom also allowed the teacher to really individualize my learning in a way that promoted growth and success. The consistency of being in the same school contributed to me developing friendships that I will have for a lifetime.

Also, we are Christians and being in an environment that supported our beliefs was fundamental to my spiritual growth. My mom liked that she knew my friends and their families. I now have the opportunity to continue my education at a Christian university and I am certain that my private school education helped pave the way, along with my mother’s support.
I am very thankful for the opportunity my mother had to put me in a place where I could grow into someone who has a good education but also very firm values that cannot be shaken.
