Bella is a bright and energetic child who loves to learn and is in kindergarten this year. She’s very attached to her sisters and to her dog.
We chose Truthful Beginnings because we wanted Bella to have the benefit of smaller class sizes and have her in the same school as her siblings. Bella was able to attend Truthful Beginnings in spite of missing the public school cut off by one day. With everything going on right now during this pandemic, the private school offered both individualized curriculum and a smaller population in a more controlled and private environment.
Having my children in a private school has created so much less stress for our family. Prior to this we had 4-5 hours of homework daily for the children who were unable to do work independently due to being at a level that they could not preform on their own. This created a daily high stress situation of the children crying and feeling inadequate. Currently, with individualized curriculum, the children can complete their work mostly unassisted and they can feel a sense of accomplishment, pride, and ownership in their education.

I believe that having school options is so important because students are individuals with individual needs. Having a choice in what works for each student and family is important for the students’ education and for the overall emotional well-being of the student and the family. This is setting student’s up for success now and in the future by creating options in learning instead of one learning program that doesn’t necessarily meet the individuals’ needs. School choice means less daily stress, more family time and more smiles due to feelings of success instead of constant struggle and failure. It means that our family can feel good about our children’s school environment and program because we chose it based on our family’s needs. It is peace of mind.
