I became an educator because growing up I loved learning, participating in school events, and working with my community. Once I became a mother I knew that children were the answer to the future, not only my future but the future of others. I’ve been in this field for almost ten years and I know that I made the right choice for myself. I also set precedent for my children to invest in your strengths.
I love Learn4Life because we allow for students who have dropped out of school and given up and have chosen to return to earn their diploma. Along with that we offer four different tracks to accommodate individual students who may need to work, tend to their growing family, or who are head of household.
When lower income children are able to choose which school fits them, they can find confidence within themselves and blossom in to well rounded individuals. At times lower income children are limited to funding or programs only trying to graduate them, not help to see the bigger picture of how this child can impact the world around them. I believe that income doesn’t determine your future and if the want to be successful. We should promote and support their goals.
