I think that in the way that the money is distributed to schools, and how much we have to pay from our taxes, is not fair. I have always been a voter who is present. I have always thought that voting is a privilege, that’s why I always vote. I think it is important for everyone, minority or non-minority; it is important because all the laws are going to effect us in one way or another.
Ever since this program started and before my son was in it, I always thought: we need these scholarships, we need these opportunities. I have always been present and I will continue to push. Although my children do not benefit from the scholarships right now, I would continue to advocate, because I know that there are other children who can take advantage of it.
