My name is Ayline Boron Alvarez. I am 14 years old and a freshman in high school. I was born in Las Vegas, but my family is from Sonora, Mexico. Most of my family is in Mexico, but I have a few aunts, uncles, and cousins here.
I have attended Mountain View Christian School for three years now. I like this school because it’s an opportunity to learn about God and grow in my faith. I have learned a lot during my years here. What’s unique about my school is that you learn about God and they teach you leadership skills.
It’s important to my family that I attend this school because it is a great opportunity. Public school can be harsh and some kids don’t focus on learning, but at my private school everyone is focused on learning. In my opinion, all families should be able to choose what school their kids should attend. Some kids want to go to public school because all of their friends go there so they should have that opportunity. Others may want to attend a private school but their families may not have the income. All families should have the right to send their children to private school regardless of their income.
