Lindsey Rust serves as Director of State Operations at AFC, supporting and advising on our government affairs and implementation work in states across the country. Lindsey formerly served as AFC’s Senior Director of State Investments and prior to that as National Implementation Director, leading and overseeing our in-state policy implementation efforts.

Prior to joining AFC, Lindsey was involved in state level advocacy work in her home state of Indiana and prior to that was a classroom teacher through the Teach For America program, teaching students with special needs in Philadelphia, PA. Lindsey received her Bachelor’s in Public Administration from Indiana University and her Master’s in Education from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia.
