Jamie Lord is a Government Affairs Advisor and Consultant for the American Federation for Children. She lobbied to pass Georgia’s first private school choice program, a voucher for students with special needs, more than ten years ago and has been advocating for expanding educational options for children ever since. She fought to create the state’s Tax Credit Scholarship Program and also managed the c3 educational effort and coalition for charter schools during a successful campaign to pass a constitutional amendment to allow statewide authorization of charters, unfairly denied by local school boards.

She has a B.S. in Political Science from Georgia State University and lives in Atlanta’s Old Fourth Ward with her husband, two teenagers and a dog named Hank who is, arguably, her favorite of them all.
