The legislation would incentivize charitable contributions from individuals and/or businesses to not-for-profit scholarship granting organizations (SGOs) in the states.
The legislation would allow SGOs to provide scholarships to students for use on a variety of K-12 education expenses including tuition at independent and/or religious schools.
Scholarships awarded by SGOs would be accessible to students residing in all 50 states and D.C.
The legislation respects federalism, protects religious liberty and ensures private school autonomy.
