AFC Places New Ad Buy in Support of Governor Kehoe’s Proposed MOScholars Funding
As Missouri’s 2025 legislative session gets underway, the American Federation for Children is launching a six-figure advertising campaign urging lawmakers to support Gov. Mike Kehoe’s $50 million budget proposal to expand the MOScholars Program.
The ad, featuring Governor Kehoe, will run on cable and streaming platforms as part of a six-figure buy.
The donation-based MOScholars Program is available to families across the state and currently serves 2,600 families. The Governor’s proposed funding expansion would deliver education freedom to even more families this year.
“I was raised by a single mother, and I watched her struggle to put me through a private school because it was the best learning environment for me. Now, I want to help all Missouri parents provide the education that meets every child’s individual learning needs. That’s why I’m including $50 million in my budget to boost the MOScholars Program,” said Governor Kehoe. “If we work together as state leaders, we can empower more parents to give their children the best education possible.”
Statement from Ryan Cantrell, Vice President of Government Affairs, American Federation for Children:
“Missouri families deserve to send their children to the school that best meets their children’s needs, and that’s exactly what Governor Kehoe’s proposed $50 million budget appropriation for the MOScholars Program will deliver.
“The American Federation for Children is dedicated to advancing education freedom for Missouri families, especially lower-income families. We fully support Governor Kehoe’s commitment to empowering families with the proven benefits of school choice.”
