RISE Academy in Queen Creek, AZ, has helped my child in so many ways. After several challenges with the public school system (not meeting the needs and accommodations for my child with special needs), we looked into several other schools. We toured RISE Academy, and right away, my son was excited, and for the first time in months, he said he wanted to attend school there. He has been there for over a year now and still loves it. I asked him why and he said, “it’s a small school where I don’t feel overwhelmed and the staff is understanding and nice.” RISE has made a difference in his life, and we will continue his educational journey with them. Every child learns differently, and not all schools are alike. Some are too large and seem overwhelming to kids with special needs. Others are small and feel like home. Also, schools need to meet the needs of each and every child, especially those with special needs. Not all schools can and will do that. It is important for a child to feel comfortable in order to learn. The right school makes a huge difference in the learning experience. All families should have the right to choose the “perfect” school for their children.
