The scholarship of Northern Nevada gave my son the incomparable gift of attending a private school. And, most importantly it gave him the ability to dream. He just graduated from high school this May 2021, with honors.
He was accepted to the University of San Diego and received a scholarship that covers 85% of his costs. Without the Northern Nevada Scholarship, having the option to attend a high school with such an academic structure would have been out of our league.
This amazing school challenged him and gave him the tools to crave success in college. Yes, my son has been blessed by these wonderful angels. Being underprivileged did not mean my son lacked anything or was unwilling to gain knowledge; My son craves knowledge and he simply needed to be given the opportunity to dream of greatness. A thank you today seems unworthy or small on our part for such a blessing this scholarship gave to our family.
