Fatima was always my number one choice for Bryleigh, Aiden and Madison.

I first became aware of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School through a cousin who went there years ago. He came from the public school system and he really wasn’t doing too well. When he started attending Fatima, within a matter of like three or four months, his grades went up and his self-confidence went up even more. So I knew that whenever I became a mother, this is the place I wanted my kids to go.

The one word I would use to describe Fatima is family. Everybody is included in everything. They have a mentality of leaving no child behind. Everyone is on one big roller coaster and we’re all going up together.

Choice is important to me and it’s important to my children. When I was growing up you really didn’t get too much of a choice. My children have experienced other school settings through summer camps, and I always ask if they like those camps better than Fatima. And the answer always is “no mama, we were going back to Fatima.”

I often think about where my children would be if they hadn’t been able to come to Fatima. I went to elementary and junior high schools that served low-income students. I appreciate the environment at Fatima. It is just completely different from other schools. I have visited those schools and know that some of the things that happen there would never happen at Fatima.

I am happy with my decision, my choice. I wouldn’t trade it for anything else.
