Choosing Cristo Rey New York High School over any other high school made a huge difference in my life because I was able to receive opportunities that I would not have had otherwise. The scholarship I received helped my family and me afford a private, college preparatory education while also gaining valuable work experience through the Corporate Work Study Program. I chose this school because it helps students like me prepare for college and future careers, and working in a professional environment has helped me develop and grow academically and personally.

All families, regardless of income, should be able to choose the right school for their child because every student deserves an environment where they can succeed and learn in a way that works for them. The ability to choose any school gives parents the power to find educational programs that match their child’s learning style, interests, and goals. Education should be based on what works best for a child, not on how much a family can afford to pay for their child’s education.
