PROGRAM — Great Hearts National Academy

I am not only a parent, but also a former educator. Homeschooling has helped my children release themselves from anxiety, panic attacks, inattentiveness, and self-loathing. All of which had been obtained during their time in a brick-and-mortar charter school. They are one year in and are thriving in all subjects, and then some!

I am familiar with the Great Hearts curriculum, and I believe it to be a healthy one. It is not biased. It teaches what it has to, without personal opinion. They also have an online teacher who teaches 3 to 4.5 hours, four days a week, depending on grade level, with classwork at the student’s pace. They provide tutoring and reading interventions as needed as part of the program. We love it!

With the financial freedom we now have because of this program, our kids no longer have to go with the flow because it’s all they have. They have options now. It doesn’t matter where you live or your income. Your kids can be taught at their level, pace, and time. It also provides the opportunity to study what they love, because it covers clubs and sports.

As parents, the responsibility for what our children become is completely ours. It is not the school’s or the government’s responsibility to produce good, hardworking adults. After all, they don’t blame the government or the school when a teenager loses their way. Taking the time to ensure your child is getting the education you want for them is an important part of parenting.
