I chose Step N Stones for Autism Academy because my son faced many educational difficulties with autism while enrolled in public school. He started to feel alienated among his peers because the school lacked knowledge of autism spectrum disorder. Step N Stones was a haven where he was fully accepted and able to receive a special education. At Step N Stones, he no longer feels alienated, and he is thriving as a successful student because he receives an education tailored to his needs.
One out of 31 children will be, or are, diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders. Sometimes a school lacks the resources and knowledge of a student’s specific needs. This makes it difficult for students with disabilities to obtain a quality education. Parents should be able to choose an equal education that allows their child a chance to thrive. School choice programs allow parents to make the best decisions for their child by choosing a school tailored to their needs.
