I’ve been involved in school choice advocacy for more than twenty years since Arizona instituted its Tuition Tax Credit.

My daughters attended the same Catholic elementary school that I went to, and it was becoming increasingly expensive. They received tuition awards through the Arizona Tuition Tax Credit which helped us subsidize their tuition. I was thrilled that they were able to receive the same excellent education that I received.

I work now for my Catholic elementary school and work with families every day who are trying to afford the private school tuition. I have personally witnessed the amazing changes that being a part of this faith community and excellent school has brought to our students and their families. Many of our low-income families would not have access to this level of education without the school choice programs in place in our state. We are all thankful for the opportunities that school choice affords our students who will become our future leaders.

There are many resources available to make private education affordable in Arizona. It takes some time and effort to educate yourself on the many opportunities, but the time invested reaps tremendous rewards for families seeking a better school for their children. We have literally seen lives changed for the better.
