My daughter is on the autism spectrum. She struggles with expressive language as well as emotional regulation. Her developmental pediatrician considers her a “flight risk,” In the public school system, they failed to recognize her medical diagnosis and would not give her the proper accommodations to ensure she has a safe education tailored to her needs.

I chose to keep her at home, not only for her safety, but so she can learn at her own pace.

All families, regardless of income, should be able to choose the right school for their children because parents or guardians know our children best. If we did not have an ESA, we would not be able to afford all of the things my daughter has been blessed with in her education.
