Charlie serves as AFC’s chief development officer. He previously led the Stand Together development operation, and before that, he helped oversee philanthropy at the Charles Koch Foundation.
Charlie’s background includes over 15 years of building and leading teams focused on effective, principled, and vision-driven philanthropic partnerships. His career in social change has targeted several issue areas related to maximizing human potential, from economic opportunity to school choice.
Charlie grew up in Detroit, Seattle, and Boston, and earned a bachelor’s degree in business and economics from Northwood University. He lives with his wife and family in Washington, DC.
