Ashley Elliott is the Future Leaders Fellowship Coordinator for AFC and a private school choice program beneficiary. After receiving the Florida Tax Credit Scholarship, Ashley’s life took a drastic turn for the better. Her fight for school choice and educational opportunity began in high school when she attended a rally after learning that the scholarship that changed the trajectory of her life was under attack.

Throughout high school and college, Ashley found her passion in advocating for educational equity for underprivileged students like her. Ashley was chosen for the first cohort of the American Federation for Children Future Leaders Fellowship. During her time as a 2019 fellow, she has shared her story across the country and in legislative hearings.

Ashley received her bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Central Florida, becoming the first in her family to graduate from college. With AFC, Ashley manages the Future Leaders Fellowship, promotes and recruits for the fellowship, and continues to tell her story to advocate for educational choice.
