In the public school system, it was very difficult for our son. He became very depressed due to bullying and a lack of resources. We were at our wit’s end with no solution in sight. We attended an open house at Phoenix Christian and were excited to hear about school choice. We were unaware of the possibilities that make private education a reality. Our son Ronaldo is a kind-hearted individual who is growing to become a good citizen. He made a U-turn in life when he became a student at Phoenix Christian. He has become more responsible in his studies and is more aware of the unique privilege he has being enrolled in a private school. He is a different child today because of school choice. He made the principal’s list his eighth-grade year and is now a straight-A student. We are very proud.
We chose Phoenix Christian Preparatory because of the STEM Program and because of our faith. We love that Phoenix Christian takes seriously the discipline of young hearts in the Christian faith. We love the structured environment and every individual who is a part of the Phoenix Christian Family. Every person that works at Phoenix Christian has played a big part in our son’s life. From the cafeteria worker to the Dean of Instruction, each person is valued by our family.

I encourage every family to experience the freedom of School choice. I have watched and voted for many overrides in our local school district. I have seen new buildings erected and various “new programs” implemented in the public school system. Unfortunately, nothing changed our situation. There had to be something better. We are grateful to have found this opportunity and for school choice.
