From a young age, I played teacher with my siblings and I knew I wanted to teach when I grew up. I loved teaching and did so for 26 years in the public school setting. The ability to encourage, build-up, and support the children expanded to their families and the community. I finally realized how tired I was and retired a few years ago.
Soon after I was asked by the wonderful principal for First Southern Christian School to teach music one day a week. This was perfect! I am able to share my love for music and performing with the children. At the same time, I can spread a little more love and faith in Jesus.
First Southern Christian School is built on solid morals and a true investment in the lives of every child and family. The leaders honestly seek the opinions of the families and want to provide a safe atmosphere for their children to learn. The school has a commitment to growing Godly children who will be successful in all areas of their lives.
First Southern Christian School would love to provide the education for all children in Tucson. There are many children with special needs or who learn better in smaller classrooms. Since all schools are different and have different priorities, it is so important that families can choose what is best for their children. Our school offers scholarships and does many fundraisers to help provide for children who can not pay.

Our principal, Carolyn Berger knows every child and their family. She works so many hours to make our school the best she possibly can and to keep it financially secure. Carolyn is a huge reason for the success of many children!
