PROGRAM — Empowerment Scholarship Account

Jocelyn is a bright, gentle, and sensitive child who loves to sing and learn. Jocelyn is known for helping others whenever she has a chance to do so.

I chose the school because Jocelyn’s other siblings were attending previously and because of the small class sizes. Jocelyn was deeply affected by the loss of almost all “normality” during this year’s pandemic. She had become deeply depressed and needed the ability to go to school in person and socialize with others in as normal a setting as possible. She needs to be challenged. In her current setting she is working at her own level instead of waiting on others to be able to move forward on work.

“Families need more options and choices when it comes to how and where their children attend schools.”

Jocelyn is happy again. She loves working at her own pace and being challenged in her work. Even more, Jocelyn feels she has her life back and is hopeful again that the future holds big things for her.

I believe that school choice is essential. Families need more options and choices when it comes to how and where their children attend schools. Many public schools are overcrowded and overwhelmed. Having a choice of schools helps families like ours to find individualized instruction at schools that are run differently.

“School choice means that children are happier because their environment is hand selected to suit them.”

School choice means a child can excel and work at their individual ability level instead of a a pre-set “one size fits all” scenario. It means a child can work to his or her full potential and find pride in doing so. School choice means that children are happier because their environment is hand selected to suit them.
