PROGRAM — School Tuition Organization

I’m the Creative Manager at Arizona Christian School Tuition Organization. It’s amazing to give back to the organization that allowed my sister & I to attend private school from kindergarten through 12th grade! I graduated from Pusch Ridge in 2012 and went on to study elementary education at Arizona Christian University.

As soon as Catalina Foothills Church opened up an elementary school (Cornerstone Christian Academy – now known as Pusch Ridge Grammar School), my parents put me on the list to be a part of their first kindergarten class. They wanted me to be surrounded by the same Christian values and ethics I was being taught at home.

I loved the intentionality & the genuine care I experienced from every single one of my teachers. Looking back, I realize what a unique blessing it was that I could go to any of them with prayer requests, praises, or questions and be welcomed with open arms.

I loved the classical learning I soaked up during my time at Cornerstone and Pusch Ridge. From Shakespeare to Brave New World, to Latin – I learned to appreciate true classical education. Moreso, I learned to appreciate it because it was taught in an engaging, interactive, and meaningful way rather than from a giant, boring textbook.  Last but not least, I loved the fact that I graduated at 18 years old with a Christian foundation that would last me a lifetime. How many people can say that? I’m so grateful for my Bible classes, weekly chapel, extracurricular activities, etc. that instilled in me an unshakeable faith.

My sister and I would never have been able to attend a private school if it weren’t for the scholarships we received from Arizona Christian School Tuition Organization. I vividly remember praying almost every night of my sixth-grade year that God would provide the funds for me to attend Pusch Ridge the following year. I know I wouldn’t be where I am today without my K-12 private education.

“Whether it’s public, charter, online, homeschool, or private school, I believe families should have the right to choose the education that best benefits their circumstances and needs.”

I passionately believe that all families should have the same privilege my family and I had in receiving a scholarship and, thereby, exercising school choice. Private school was the right option for my family, but it’s not necessarily for every family! Whether it’s public, charter, online, homeschool, or private school, I believe families should have the right to choose the education that best benefits their circumstances and needs.

School choice means freedom – the freedom to make the best decision for you and your family. Your children will be in school for at least 13 years of their lives. You have the fundamental right to choose, from a variety of choices, what best fits your children’s learning style, needs, and interests for those 13 years.
