PROGRAM — Milwaukee Parental Choice Program

I have been attending Granville Lutheran School since the forth grade. Now I am closing in on my last year here and it makes me sad to even think about leaving. I love my school and all that it represents. When I first came to Granville, I didn’t know anybody but the teachers made me feel welcomed. I started to love my teachers and I even started to love coming to school. I have gained so much from my teachers and the school. I look forward to going to high school, but I am going to miss the family environment here at Granville.

“As long as a school fits the needs of a child, parents and families should have the ability to send their children wherever they see fit.”

As long as a school fits the needs of a child, parents and families should have the ability to send their children wherever they see fit. How much money a family has should not decide if their kid gets to go to a school that fits their needs. If you send your child to Granville, you can immediately see just how loved and cared for they are at school. The teachers are so concerned with you that at times you want to just scream. Early on in my attendance at Granville, I just wanted the teachers to leave me alone.

Then I realized something—the concern of my teachers was just their way of showing how much they care for me and how much they love us. If your child attends Granville they will experience the family feeling here along with a great amount of learning. I have been challenged and I have learned to manage a lot of tasks. Overall, I feel like I have learned so much and I hope that other children will be able to experience a school like mine.
