Adair is a young, brilliant, and sensible boy who loves anime and loves his siblings. He enjoys playing with his friends, either at school or in our neighborhood. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 he is now unable to do all those activities that he loves most, so he started spending lots of time watching YouTube.
I really wanted Adair to attend a charter school such as Burke Basic because of the special attention and care each student is given. Compared to the public schools nearby, each student is granted more attention. As a parent, my priority has always been my children and their education. Making the decisions about his schooling meant placing my child in what I felt was the best school and best learning environment.
Exercising school choice has truly made an impact in the comfort and pride I have as a working parent. Not only does my child receive attentive care and an exceptional education, but my worries are soothed when thinking about how my child can exceed in today’s modern world.

I really believe that more families should have the same privilege I did in exercising school choice. The best decision a parent can make is dedicating the time and effort into researching their child’s school and type of education. Placing an emphasis on your child at an early age can make the difference between a successful or unsuccessful student later on in life.
To me, school choice means each of my children have the opportunity to fully explore their potential in diverse educational environments. My wife and I both knew that our kids deserve the best possible education and being able to play a role in that decision is tremendously liberating and empowering. My family is my priority and their success is too.
