A school choice advocate for her entire career, Sydney Hay graduated Summa Cum Laude from Kansas Newman College with a B.S. in Education. She owns her own public affairs consulting firm in Scottsdale, AZ specializing in association management, campaign consulting at the federal level and state governmental affairs.
Her key policy enactments include passing the nation’s first-ever scholarship tax credit in 1997 and four subsequent school choice programs. She also led the effort to successfully amend Arizona’s constitution twice among other policy successes.
For over five years, Sydney hosted a daily radio talk show in Phoenix and has numerous radio and television appearances to her credit. Sydney was also the Republican nominee for Congress in Arizona’s District 1 in 2008.
Sydney lives in Scottsdale with her husband, Dan, three horses and a black lab named, “A Great Big Western Howdy.”
