Hergit Penzo Llenas, aka CoCo, is the Director of Latino Outreach.

Born in the Dominican Republic, Hergit came to the United States in 1994, after living in Paris where she studied French thanks to an academic scholarship. Once she graduated from college, armed with a degree in Business Administration, Hergit worked in corporate America until 2008.

Later Hergit decided to become a Wish Grantor for the Make A Wish Foundation of Southern Nevada. This role then led to a non-profit organization in Las Vegas called The Public Education Foundation (PEF) where Hergit rebuilt The Family Learning Program, which drastically improved the school climate inside multiple K-5 campuses in Nevada.

Her experience working with families in inner city schools and with PEF brought her to the school choice movement where she has worked to build grassroots advocacy among the Latino community.
