Eromosele Lucky Akhelumele is a financial management expert with over two decades of financial, management, auditing, and capacity building experience in the international development sector. “Lucky” is a certified accounting professional and holds an MBA degree with specialization in Financial Management, a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and membership of several professional bodies, including Fellowship of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.
His most recent appointment was United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Controller for Guinea and Sierra Leone. He also served as USAID Chief Accountant and Financial Analyst in Nigeria. He has worked extensively in Africa where he championed many innovations, business reengineering, business process automation, and empowerment programs. He is highly experienced in corporate changeovers involving growth, performance improvement, strategy development and execution, management controls and organizational effectiveness. He is a seasoned coach, mentor, trainer, team player and leader. He is passionate about assisting others to achieve their potentials.
He is a recipient of over 30 awards, including the prestigious Foreign Service National of the Year award, Bureau for Africa award, the Eagle award, and Meritorious award.
