Denise Lasher is a Government Affairs Advisor with AFC and serves as the state director for Florida Federation for Children.
Denise began her work in the education reform movement in 2002 with the inception of Florida’s Tax Credit Scholarship program managing the legislative, public relations and marketing efforts for Florida’s largest scholarship funding organization for eight years. She then managed the Florida electioneering efforts for All Children Matter for several years.
Denise served as Chairwoman of two public school advisory councils, in addition to serving on the Hillsborough County School Board Citizen Advisory Council and Florida Department of Education Advisory Council. She has been active on many community boards and started a mentoring program for low-income students in her community.
Denise received her Bachelor of Science degree from University of Delaware and Certificate in Nonprofit Management from University Of Tampa Graduate School Of Business. She resides in Lutz, Florida.
