Amy Echols is the Development Manager for the American Federation for Children. Her previous position was the Director of Government Affairs and Implementation in Louisiana, where she worked with legislators and principals to implement school choice in Louisiana.
After receiving her degree in Political Science and Economics from Loyola University New Orleans, Louisiana, Amy started her career as a college recruiter speaking in front of groups from 5-500. From there she spent 16 years in the fundraising and development arena within Louisiana and the southeast region of the United States. At Ochsner Health System in New Orleans, Amy was the special events director and later moved to be the Development Director at Ochsner Baton Rouge.
Amy served as the American Cancer Society’s Executive Director in Baton and then as Regional Special Events Director over six states. In 2012, Amy joined the jewelry industry as the Training Specialist at Lee Michaels Fine Jewelry. Having no jewelry experience, she immersed herself in the industry and earned her Registered Jewelry diploma.
In her free time, Amy enjoys cooking, traveling and playing golf and tennis. She has two grown children and resides in Baton Rouge, Louisiana with her husband, Jeff.
