Amy Echols joined the American Federation for Children in February 2019 and serves as the Louisiana Director of Government Affairs and Implementation.  Amy will work to advance educational choices in the legislature in Louisiana, work with school principals across the state to expand the school choices for parents, and execute a strong communications campaign for the Louisiana Scholarship Program.

Prior to joining the Louisiana AFC team, Amy spent 18 years in fundraising and 7 years as a corporate trainer. She has been involved with the Junior League of Baton Rouge for ten years, the American Cancer Society and the Catholic High School Mothers’ Club. Amy is originally from Baton Rouge and graduated from Loyola University New Orleans with a double major in Political Science and Economics.
