School Choice Supporters Victorious in Arizona Primary Elections
The American Federation for Children, the nation’s voice for educational choice, congratulates the many candidates who support school choice on their primary victories in Arizona. AFC was pleased to have a part in 12 of the victories.
In total, the Arizona Federation for Children, a project of the American Federation for Children, supported 14 candidates and spent approximately $127,000 on independent expenditures, including mailers, radio, and digital ads.
The Arizona Federation for Children works to ensure every child has equal opportunity to obtain a quality education. We believe in higher pay for teachers, proper school funding and more school choice opportunities for Arizona families and we support candidates who share our mission.
After investing in their races, the Arizona Federation for Children congratulates the following educational choice champions on their successes in the primary elections:

In State Legislative District 1, Noel Campbell successfully defeated his primary challenger, Jodi Rooney. Campbell has a history of bravery from his time as a helicopter pilot in the military to battling forest fires, and now he fights on behalf of Arizona children. We are thankful for his service in bringing school choice options to Arizona families and we are happy to help him advance to the general election.
In State Legislative District 12, AFC congratulates Eddie Farnsworth for his primary election win. Farnsworth, as a long-time member of the Arizona State Legislature, was involved very early on with creating the comprehensive school choice environment we have today in Arizona. We absolutely stand beside our proven school choice champions when they are challenged.
In State Legislative District 22, AFC is pleased to see newcomer Frank Carroll win his primary. Carroll has a visceral understanding of how life-changing Arizona’s school choice programs are for children. He will join dozens of other legislators who have a deep commitment to helping school choice programs improve, grow and flourish.
