School Choice Champions Win Texas Special Elections

The American Federation for Children, the nation’s voice for educational choice, congratulates the winners of Tuesday night’s special elections in Texas. The Texas Federation for Children PAC (TFC PAC) supported Brian Harrison in House District 10 and John Lujan in House District 118 because of their strong support for educational freedom and empowering parents to make the best educational choices for their children.
Statement from Mandy Drogin, Texas State Director for the American Federation for Children:
“We congratulate both Brian Harrison and John Lujan on their victories tonight. The candidates’ support for education freedom and parental empowerment was a driving force in their impressive victories over the education establishment that prevents parents from choosing the right education for their children. Now, more than ever, parents are demanding the right to school choice. The Texas Federation for Children PAC will continue to support candidates who are willing to stand up for students over systems.”
Details:

  • Brian Harrison won the Texas House District 10 primary runoff with 55% of the vote
  • John Lujan received 41% of the vote and will advance to a runoff election for the House District 118 seat
