The Power of School Choice in Louisiana

This weekend, a powerful new TV ad was released in Louisiana in support of educational choice in the state. In it, a mother asks Louisiana Gubernatorial candidate John Bel Edwards why he wants to take away her child’s scholarship and examines his record on school choice.
Educational choice and options are a crucial element of Louisiana’s education system, with overwhelming support for school choice in the state, including public charter schools and private choice programs. Specifically in the Louisiana Scholarship Program, which has been an option the state for 7 years, over 90 percent of participating parents are satisfied with the program and the school their child attends.
