Oklahoma Governor Seals the Deal During Big Week for Ed Freedom

Today, Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt capped off a banner week for school choice by signing Senate Bill 1080, which increases the amount of tax credits available for private school scholarship program donations from $3.5 million annually to $25 million per year.

Statement from Tommy Schultz, CEO-Elect of the American Federation for Children:

“In what has become a monumental year for school choice across America, today Oklahoma officially joined the ranks of states truly empowering families. We would like to again thank Governor Stitt, President Pro Tempore Treat, and Speaker McCall for their steadfast leadership in Oklahoma, and all of the bold leaders in states across the country who have firmly rejected the status quo by putting kids first and growing opportunity in education in 2021.”
