Governor Scott Walker is one of the confirmed speakers at this first-of-its-kind event. Governor Walker is a strong supporter of educational choice and this year expanded Wisconsin’s school choice programs to serve even more students.
In a recent op-ed published in The Des Moines Register, Gov. Walker stated:
“In addition to improving traditional public schools, like the ones my own sons attended, we increased the number of quality education choices all over Wisconsin.”
“We also dramatically expanded the 25-year-old Milwaukee Parental School Choice program to add more students, more schools and working class families. Then, we expanded school choice across the state.”
“Now, more than ever, we need to push big, bold reforms to improve our schools. If we can do it in Wisconsin, there is no reason we can’t push positive education reforms across the country.”

Other confirmed speakers at the event on August 19 include Gov. Jeb Bush, Carly Fiorina, Gov. John Kasich, Gov. Bobby Jindal and Gov. Chris Christie. More about their thoughts on school choice to be featured on the blog soon!
